Athletic Director 

Chris Beckman Sr. 

Chris Beckman enters his 29th year as a Head High School Basketball Coach . Coach Beckman began coaching in 1992, after graduating from Millsaps College. Coach Beckman played high school basketball at St. Martin’s in Metairie, Louisiana where he is still that school’s all-time leading scorer. He attended Millsaps College, serving as Team Captain during his senior year. After graduating in 1992 from Millsaps, he served as an Assistant Coach at Pope John Paul II and UMS-Wright while completing his MS in Sports Management at The United States Sports Academy in 1993.  In 1996, Beckman became the 10th Head Coach at Episcopal School of Baton Rouge.  In 2023 he became the Head Coach of the Albany High School Hornets and in 2024, Beckman was named AHS Athletic Director following in the footsteps of the very successful Stacy Darouse.
